  • As early as you can, ideally back at the planning stage before anything is locked in. The cheapest time to get the wiring right is before the walls are lined, when adding a point, a light or a run of cabling costs very little. If we are involved early we can walk the plans with you and set out the power, lighting and data around how you will actually live in the home.

    Leave it too late and changes mean cutting into finished walls, which is messy and expensive.

  • Yes, and it is one of the smartest things to do in a new build. We run in solar and battery-ready cabling and leave space in the switchboard while the walls are still open, which costs very little at that stage. When you decide to add the solar, battery or an EV charger later, it becomes a simple connection rather than a major retrofit that involves opening up finished walls and upgrading the board.

    It future-proofs the home for a small upfront cost.

  • Yes, that is a normal part of a new build for us. We coordinate with your builder and the other trades, work to the build program so the electrical never holds things up, and certify our work at each stage. Good coordination is what keeps a build on track, because the wiring has to go in at the right point relative to the frame, insulation and lining.

    You get one electrical team managing it end to end rather than gaps between trades.

  • Yes. We run data, TV and network points to wherever you will actually use them, whether that is a study, the lounge, the bedrooms or a home office. Doing it during the build is far easier and cheaper than trying to add it later, when cabling has to be fished through finished walls.

    With more of life happening online, getting solid wired connections to the right rooms makes a real difference to how the home works day to day.

  • Yes, we manage both stages. The rough-in is the wiring we run before the walls are lined, setting out all the cabling for power, lighting, data and the switchboard. Once the walls are up and painted we come back for the fit-off, installing the points, switches, lights and the board itself and testing everything.

    Handling both means there is one team responsible for the whole electrical side from slab to handover, so nothing falls through the cracks between trades.
